Area Business Director

Basic Purpose of the Position:
- Develop regional business expansion strategy;
- Responsible for regional or district sales leadership for the China T3 & T4 business
- Identify and develop target customers, terminals & patients;
- Select, develop & engage regional business partners;
- Lead, build, develop & motivate external field force /DSR organization;
- Deliver regional sales targets;
- Implement company GTM strategies & programs;
- Feedback latest market development, KPI tracking and competitor intelligence.
Accountabilities:
- Achieve annual commercial goals in terms of sales and profit;
- Manage & develop an assigned set of key accounts in order to achieve the sales goals and explore the growth opportunities (in terms of products, customer segments and territories) in T3 & T4 cities (outside 150 core cities);
- Liaise with the other functional teams to speed up portfolio expansion, develop pricing & reimbursement strategies that increase patient coverage and market penetration;
- Actively participate in the selection and development of Area Business team in order to manage the sales, regions, T3/T4 partners and lay the “talent pool” foundation for future growth and development;
- Train, develop & motivate business partner, agency and external sales organization to deliver “core” commercial/product knowledge in the responsible Area;
- Sales progress & market information tracking, reporting & recording to ensure T3/T4 performance and compliance.
Required Skills & Capabilities:
- Bachelor degree or above in Science or Business related;
- Minimum 5 years of combined experience in roles of increasing responsibility in sales force, commercial and territory planning and management;
- Leadership & coaching skills;
- Customer orientation (internal and external);
- Strong people skills to be able to function effectively internally as well as externally;
- Business and market know-how;
- Financial and negotiation skills;
- Sales management skill set with over 5 years of healthcare or pharmaceutical related experience;
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to work in a complex healthcare environment;
- Outstanding execution ability across multiple business segments and geographic areas;
- Significant experience in the hospital, retail pharmacy, commercial and/or retail business segments
