Title: Catheterization Laboratory Technologist Facility: Beijing United Family Hospital Department: Catheterization Laboratory Summary of Responsibilities: l Assist in angiography and interventions in Cardiac and Vascular procedures. l Perform quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) for all equipment. l Assists (with hospital Radiation Safety Officer, medical imaging and X-ray equipment service engineers) with QC/QA testing of radiologic equipment and the surveillance of Radiation Safety precautions in Cath Lab. Supervision Received: Catheterization Laboratory Director Qualifications: l Completion of three-year education in Radiology technology with Associate Degree OR Cardiac Cath Lab technology with DSA certificate from MOH. l Minimum five years experience in cath lab, Cardiac or Vascular settings preferred. Knowledge and Skills: l Knowledge in operating theory of Cath Lab DSA system, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology. l Skills with imaging equipment (projectors, cine processors), digital imaging and associated QC testing equipment needed. Ability to learn biomedical electronic, radiologic imaging, computer data entry, and hemodynamic monitoring skills. Education and Experience: l Completion of three-year education in Radiology technology with Associate Degree OR Cardiac Cath Lab technology with DSA certificate from MOH. Bachelor’s degree in health care science preferred Responsibilities: l Adheres to established hospital policy and procedures related to job function. l Maintains confidentiality related to patients, staff and visitors. l Performs required isolation/aseptic techniques. l Adheres to safety standards. l Operates equipment/machinery. l Maintains equipment/machinery. l Adheres to hospital confidentiality statement. Effectively educates the patient/family in specialty area
