1.Monitor specimen collection, identification, transport, storage, and processing to ensure quality of specimen before testing.2.Prepares reagents, standards and controls according to prescribed procedures.3.Performs tests and sample analysis in the areas of clinical chemistry, hematology & Blood Bank, microbiology (ID&ATB excluded), immunology and/or Body fluid analysis.4.Verifies normal test results prior to release.5.Performs quality control to ensure proper functioning of instruments, reagents, and procedures. Recognizes instrument malfunction and out-of-control test results, takes corrective action and reports to the supervisor.6.Answers basic questions of physicians and nurses concerning laboratory tests, accepts complaints, and initiates corrective actions.7.Participates in education class and continuing education programs to keep current on new instrumentation, techniques and procedures.8.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Requirements: 1.Education certificate as a medical technician from professional medical school/college.2.Elementary English level in listening, speaking, reading and writing is preferred.3.Perform full range of chemistry, microbiology (ID&ATB excluded), immunology, hematology & Blood Bank and body fluid laboratory procedures.4.Evaluates and solves problems related to collection and processing of biological specimens for analysis.5.Differentiates and resolves technical, instrument, physiologic causes of simple problems or unexpected test results.6.Knowledge of procedures, instruments and quality control measures.7.Ability to deal with troubleshooting of medical instruments.8.Understands and enforces safety regulations.9.A general comprehension of the many factors that affect health and disease and ethics including result confidentiality.
