Description:
？ The basic job profile covers mastering all DSP related technologies from of development and optimization tasks for downstream process, including buffer preparation, purification, filtration, and biophysical characterization of the product protein.
？ Support project transfer from internal or external customers, and preparation of transfers to clinical manufacturing or manufacturing.
？ Responsible for the development of economic and robust purification processes for therapeutic proteins and monoclonal antibodies by applying state of the art technologies to ensure manufacturing of bulk drug substance and bulk drug product.
？ Development of high yielding downstream processes with optimal overall productivity to produce a safe product (purity, product quality) and scalable process.
？ Being part of process transfer teams to secure material supply for projects to support Tox and clinic studies.
？ Under the guidance from the supervisor, ensuring timely and cost effective process establishment in development, optimization and scale-up to meet all quality and regulatory demands.
？ Working with DoE/QbD tools to enhance development of robust and scalable USP processes; not only in the USP process but also including raw material testing and IPC/IPA during the whole process.
？ Compiling reports, SOPs and other documentation as well as presentations of results according to timelines.
？ Being part of process transfer teams to secure material supply for projects to support toxicology and clinic studies (including facility fit and scale-up studies).
？ Ensuring good communication, material and data handover with internal and external customers and interfaces as upstream development, QC, and transfer partners.
？ All of the works include planning, coordinating and performing of work package, and discussing with supervisor and senior scientists. The work result shall be documented, summarized, and presented.
Duties & Responsibility
？ Responsible for operation and maintain small scale purification and filtration equipment, for example: AKTAavant, AKTAxpress, and small scale ultrafiltration equipment.
？ Improving of current process development concepts, able to perform trouble shooting in DSP.
？ Have the knowledge of disposable downstream process.
？ Responsible for tech transfer from Biberach or Fremont, preparation of process transfer documents for GMP production.
？ Present data and communicate with the colleagues in Biberach and Fremont.
？ Set up downstream lab, purchasing the consumables and work with equipment import.
Eligibility Requirements:
？ Bachelor or Master Degree above with major in Biopharmaceuticals, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Bio Engineering.
？ Solid experience in downstream process development and optimization for biomaterials.
？ Good practice in purification and analytical technologies (e.g. chromatography, filtration, spectrometry, biochemical assays).
？ Good understanding and practical experience in organizing a lab.
？ Analytical and scientific thinking, clear argumentation and ability to reduce complex issues to the main points.
？ Self-confidence.
？ Social competence, customer orientation and team player.
？ Executing for results: Maintains high standards of performance for himself/herself, and follows through on commitments.
？ Makes timely decisions when a quick response is required and a number of possible alternatives are available.
