Job brief
A role in Store Design means the opportunity to apply your innovative and sustainable architectural/ interior design and technical expertise. Your work will help define the physical experience and evolve the brand image in stores and in support of Huawei business strategies. You’ll interpret program and scope details to integrate them with the site design and aesthetic, including new stores inside and out, exteriors and interiors, small Pop-Up formats, remodels and innovation projects.
Responsibilities
Design:
- Ensure the Brand's image is homogeneous, properly maintained within the guidelines described by Huawei HQ in order to achieve a cumulative and synergistic effect.
- Develop brand approved designs, technical drawings, construction details, and specifications based on budget, project type, and retailer's criteria, done within a timely manner.
- Generate 3D renderings and prepare photo montages for counter visualizations.
- Create and revise multiple design packages simultaneously within different stages of progress.
- Analyze traffic flow to guarantee customer interaction, identify best visibility points.
- Review and approve contractor shop drawings and material samples.
- Work closely with the VM and retail managers to maximize visibility of the brand.
- Outline merchandising needs for the store space, review planograms.
- Communicate and collaborate with the marketing and procurement team as needed.
- Develop technical drawings for event podiums and other brand seminars (planning and execution).
Project Management:
- Manage the Project Log Database. Responsible of maintaining up to date information of all phases of design.
- Oversee and coordinate installations with retailers, shop fitters and engineers/ consultants .
- Inspect and review furniture construction prior to shipping for installation.
- Prepare project packages for collaborative work with logistics, commercial, and finance teams.
- Order permanent POP from warehouse for shipping. Communicate and follow-up for order status.
- Supervise physical implementation of merchandise guidelines done by VM.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture/Design preferred.
- At least 5 years prior related experience in store design/ project management.
- Excellent English written + verbal interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Speaking Fluent Chinese (or another European language) is a plus.
- Microsoft Office (Excel/ PowerPoint).
- AutoCAD.
- SketchUp (or 3D equivalent).
- Photoshop.
